Regional Educational Fish Sales Promotions are an outreach initiative of the Trust aimed at improving access to affordable fish products while promoting fish consumption through practical nutrition education. Similar to the Regional Fish Sales Promotions, these events are conducted in areas where the Trust does not have a permanent presence, ensuring that all Namibians have access to quality fish products and the knowledge needed to prepare them.

A key feature of this initiative is the participation of the Trust’s in-house chef, who provides hands-on demonstrations and lessons to community members on fish handling and preparation. These educational sessions cover the entire process, from cleaning and filleting fish to preparing nutritious and affordable meals. Participants are also introduced to different cooking methods and recipes designed to make fish preparation simple, enjoyable, and accessible.

The promotions are conducted monthly in selected regions, excluding towns where the Trust operates fish shops. Fish products are sold at the same prices available at the Trust’s retail outlets, ensuring equitable access to affordable fish while empowering communities with valuable culinary skills and nutrition knowledge.
